JuBu Gifts & More

Branding a Lifestyle Concept

JuBu — From Concept to Experience

Nestled in the calm rhythm of Bodrum, JuBu Gifts & More began as a boutique that celebrated the art of thoughtful gifting — a space where Japanese simplicity met Aegean warmth.

When the founders envisioned expanding this experience beyond the physical store, I led the transformation of JuBu into a fully realized brand and digital platform.
From concept to code, I built a brand that feels both handcrafted and contemporary — grounded in authenticity, yet designed for modern interaction.

Creative Direction

The brand name JuBu originates from the Japanese word 主婦 (shufu), meaning housewife.
But within Japanese culture, it represents much more — a symbol of care, harmony, and aesthetic mindfulness.
This philosophy guided every creative decision: from typography and materials to the serene pace of the website’s interactions.

I wanted JuBu to feel like stepping into a quiet Bodrum morning — light, balanced, and intentional.

Brand & Visual Identity

The brand identity blends soft minimalism with organic textures, reflecting the boutique’s handmade and curated collections.
Neutral tones, tactile imagery, and subtle motion echo the brand’s calm yet refined personality.
Packaging was designed with sustainable materials, while labels and graphic systems followed a structured yet poetic grid.

Outcome

The new identity and website transformed JuBu from a local shop into a recognizable lifestyle brand.
Traffic increased organically through SEO and Instagram integration, while the consistent visual identity strengthened customer engagement both online and in-store.

JuBu today stands as a reflection of mindful design — bridging cultures, materials, and emotions through simplicity and care.
